Spring Workshops 2009

In conjunction with the State Land Records Management Program, NC Society of Surveyors, NC Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors, NC Floodplain Mapping Program and the NC Geodetic Survey, the NCPMA will conduct several free workshops across the State directed toward county Review Officers, Property Mappers, GIS Professionals, Planners, Registered Land Surveyors, and Registers of Deeds/Staff.

Attendance will go towards continuing education hours for State Certified Property Mapper re-certification – total of 8 hours, 4 hours for each session.

The morning session will be devoted to Review Officers’ duties and responsibilities. This session is revised from previous years, and will count for recertification even if you took the workshop last year.

The afternoon session will have two concurrent workshops: one session on Indexing Standards for Registers of Deeds and staff, and The other afternoon session will cover several other pertinent mapping subjects listed below with presenters:

Each Review Officer session will be held in the morning and the concurrent sessions will be in the afternoon. Attendees can attend morning and or afternoon sessions (4 hours each in credit for NCPMA). Surveyors must attend both sessions to receive 7.5 PDH credits.

These workshops are free and open to any one who wants to attend. They are especially designed for county Review Officers, registers of deeds and staff, property mappers, planners, and surveyors.

Due to space considerations, preregistration is required.

Registrations are to be sent to Rene reed, NC Land Records Management Program. Postal, fax, and email submissions will be accepted, and are outlined on the second page of the registration form.
